Cherubs Foundation was founded by Elder Nicholas Osei Bonsu. It is the realization of my dream to care for orphaned and vulnerable children. After telling my wife about opening our home to the under privileged children to share what we have with them. We have four children of our own.
My desire to care for the under privileged children from a call I received from God to move a step further in the evangelism work we were doing for Him by establishing a children’s home.
Therefore I made up my mind to take up some children whose parents have died and no relatives were willing to care for them. In November 2005 we inaugurated the orphanage officially, having acquired the necessary documents from the register general and social welfare departments respectively.
We then put up a sign to advertise the orphanage to the public; the Social Welfare and the communities at large have been knocking at our door with orphaned children who have no one to take care of them.
Our home has now grown to having 40 children in total. We are now located at our new place at Apire-Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana west-Africa. It has not been an easy journey but God has ben able to bring us this far. We are making new strides. We have been able to set up an Educational Centre which aims to give the less privilege children an opportunity to learn. The Educational Centre started on the 4th February 2015 and is currently admitting Creche,Kindergarten and Primary 1 pupil.
